Victor J. Tritto

Victor J. Tritto, age 83, of Toms River, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Born in Newark, NJ on July 13, 1939, he lived in Nutley, NJ for 55 years before moving to Toms River in 2022.
Vic spent his entire working life with Prudential Insurance Company until his retirement after a long career as a systems analyst. He also helped teach night school students key punch data entry techniques in the 1970's, prior to the development and introduction of the computer era. Vic also enjoyed coaching his sons in youth sports in his spare time and loved watching his boys and grandchildren play through high school and college when his coaching days were behind him. Vic was a self-taught artist and enjoyed painting and drawing. Vic also enjoyed tropical fish, had a green thumb and nursed plants around the house. For fun, Vic loved to play cards at his old men's club at the Nutley Sweet Shop, watch and bet on the horses occasionally, and in his later years, he became an excellent cook mastering many Italian specialties.
Victor is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucille Tritto; Mother-in-law, Amelia Grippo; Father-in-law, Gregory Michael Grippo; Sister-in-law, Angela Duca; Brother-in-law, Carmine Duca; and Brother-in-law, Michael Silva
Surviving him are his wife of 60 years, Mary Jean; his children, Victor (Maureen), David (May) and Gary (Julene); his grandchildren, Jillian, Nicholas, Matthew, Giuliana, Gianina, Anthony and Anna; his brother, John Tritto (Mary) of Toms River; and his sister-in-law, Georgia Silva of Ortley.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 9th at 12 Noon at St. Maximillian Kolbe Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River, NJ 08757.
