She was born in Nashwauk, MN, on February 2, 1930, to Frank and Theresa (Provinzino) Calaguire. She was united in marriage to Rudy Stuntebeck on November 27, 1948, at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Nashwauk. They made their home in Nashwauk and several years later built a new home in Pengilly.
Victoria's first job was a secretary at the Chevrolet dealership in Nashwauk. One of her job duties was to take applications for driver's licenses at the cost of 25 cents per license. Funny thing though, she never filled out an application for herself! She did, however, get her driver's license years later.
Victoria enjoyed being a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, knitting & crocheting, & bingo. She loved going to bingo every Wednesday night with her son-in-law, Richard! She also enjoyed the monthly Canasta Club with her friends and looked forward to her turn to be the hostess. Victoria was a member of St. Cecelia's CCW and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3024.
She worked in William's IGA Grocery Store before owning and operating Vickys Café in Nashwauk & Vicky's Groceries in Pengilly. She was also an Avon Representative for nearly 50 years.
She is survived by her children, Susan (Jack) Ostrander of Nashwauk; Vicky Woodman of Pengilly; Frank Stuntebeck of Nashwauk; Jean (Dennis) Rowland of Pengilly; & her sister-in-law, Betty Calaguire of Nashwauk; 16 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 11 great-step-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren (with two on the way); numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Stuntebeck; parents, Frank & Theresa Calaguire, sister Antionette (Nat) Mayerle; brother, Joe Calaguire; daughter-in-law, Carol Stuntebeck; and son-in-law, Richard Woodman.
Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing, MN.
