Victoria Estrada Cuadra, age 93, of
Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Born on March 29, 1932, in Lima, Perú, Victoria was the daughter of Baltazar Estrada and Dolores Alvarez, and the beloved granddaughter of Jose Emilio Alvarez and Rosa Emilia Flores. She spent her early years surrounded by her cherished siblings: Rosa Berrocal, Petronila Negrete, Fernando Olivarez, and Jesus Estrada.
Victoria lived the majority of her life in Perú, where she built a rich and vibrant life filled with hard work, love, and resilience. For over 25 years, she worked at the iconic Metro-Goldwyn- Mayer movie theater in Lima, Perú, a career she was immensely proud of. As union president, she advocated for her coworkers and had the unique opportunity to meet celebrities such as John Wayne during local movies premieres. Her strength, leadership, and determination left a lasting impact on those around her.
She was married twice, first to Armando Torres Alegre, with whom she raised four children: Alfredo Torres, Nancy Martinez, Sara Malpartida, and Aldo Torres. Later, she married Lucio Cuadra. Throughout her life, she was supported and loved deeply by her family, including her devoted sons-in-law, Luis Malpartida and William Martinez.
Victoria was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren, Victoria Martinez, Edwin Fritch, Noelia Reed, Vanessa Bond, Luisa Pinkerton, Alfredo Torres Jr., and Andrew Torres, twelve great-grandchildren, Joselyn McCoy, Julissa McCoy, Edwin Fritch Jr., Devan Reed, Riley Reed, Gabriel Pinkerton, Michael Pinkerton, Olivia Torres, Audriana Torres, Bria Torres, and Isabella Torres, and one great-great-grandchild, Shepherd Parker. Her legacy lives on through each of them-carried in the values she instilled and the love she so generously gave.
In 2017, Victoria moved to the United States, spending her final years in
Lakeland, Florida, surrounded by family. Her life was one of strength, service, and deep devotion to her loved ones. Victoria enjoyed playing cards, dominos, going to casinos, dining out, and traveling to visit family in the United States and Canada. She was a lively woman who loved music, dancing, and making jokes. She was a very stylish woman who loved the fashion trends of her day and wearing her jewelry. Victoria was a devoted Catholic who loved God very much. Victoria Cuadra is well loved by her family, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and will be deeply missed.
She will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, her love of classic cinema, and her remarkable ability to bring people together.
Victoria's family will hold a private memorial to celebrate her life and legacy on Friday, July 11, 2025, Visitation from 11 am to 12 pm. Mass service at 12 pm. At Lakeland Funeral Home in
