Victoria Renee Madry, an animal lover, court reporter, and member of the Corvallis community, passed away on September 1st, 2025. She was 87.

Born on February 11, 1938, in Barren, Wisconsin, Victoria was the daughter of Cecilia Hain and Otto Moen. Raised with Midwestern values and a deep appreciation for nature, she carried those qualities with her throughout her life. Her early years were marked by a quiet determination and a love for language, which later blossomed into a career in stenography and court reporting.

On November 18, 1987, Victoria married Theodore Madry in Corvallis, Oregon, where she would spend the next 38 years.

Her work in the courtroom was matched by her tireless volunteer efforts at the local animal shelter thrift storewhere she found joy. Vicky loved horses and dogs , rescuing one dog after another, filling up her home.

Victoria’s legacy lives on through her children, Georgia Lilly and Dennis Lilly; her brother, Jerry Moen; and her five grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to bloom in every animal she comforted, and every life she touched.
