Victoria “Vicky,” “Vickie,” “Vic” G. Meyer, 85, of Canal Winchester, OH, formerly of Dillsburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 30, 1940, to the late Clarence Jandzik and Betty (Wilkinson) Easterwood. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ammon “Dutch” J. Meyer, Jr.

Victoria graduated from Northside High School in San Antonio, Texas, in 1957 and continued her education at San Antonio Community College. She went on to build a distinguished career in federal service, spending the majority of her years with the Department of Defense.

Throughout her career, Victoria held a variety of meaningful and challenging positions—beginning with USAA and the Strategic Air Command, and culminating at the Office of Personnel Management at the Carlisle Army War College. Her professionalism and dedication earned her numerous accolades and promotions over the years. Even after her first retirement, her expertise in Human Resources was so valued that she was invited back as a contractor. Upon her final retirement, a parade was held in her honor—a fitting tribute to her many years of loyal service.

Victoria was also deeply involved in the Carlisle chapter of Federally Employed Women (FEW), where she served as the chapter’s second president.

Known for her warmth, generosity, and quick wit, Victoria never met a stranger. She had a natural gift for connecting with others and became a trusted friend and confidante to nearly everyone she met. She was an avid reader, loved sharing in her family’s adventures, and took immense pride in her roles as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate to know her.

Vicky is survived by her children, Keith Edward Meyer and wife Pam of York, PA; Kelly Lafaye Sturek and husband Richard of La Harpe, IL; and Amy Meyer Voss and husband Jordan of Canal Winchester, OH. She is also survived by seven grandchildren—James Ammon Meyer and wife Jeanne-Marie, Krysta Lynn Downing, Nichole Renee Downing, Bradley Austin Downing, Matthew Anthony Downing, Henry Ammon Voss, and Lila Frances Voss—and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her step-son, Ammon John Meyer III, and her brother, Brian Easterwood.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Victoria’s memory to Federally Employed Women (FEW) at www.FEW.org.
