Victoria Qiao Yu Parsons March 2, 1993- July 11, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Victoria Qiao Yu Parsons, who died unexpectedly on July 11, 2025, at the age of 32, following a moped accident. Born March 2, 1993 in Xi'an, China and adopted in 1996 by Dan and LouAnn Parsons, Victoria was a bright soul with a deep passion for life, Victoria touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Victoria was a dedicated and hard worker. She was someone who could always be counted on throughout her diverse work experience. Whether she was working in landscaping, grocery stocking, dishwashing, food service, bike repair, bike couriering, stagehand work, ironworking, or light tech, she was always trying new things and looking for the perfect job.
She embarked on a journey to learn about her Chinese heritage, embracing her culture with a sense of pride. She was known for her determination and tenacity. When she set her mind to something, she made it happen. Her drive and focus allowed her to achieve goals both big and small.
She could often be found eating ramen noodles, biking around, playing mahjong, or working on her photo book Nostalgia. She loved capturing the world through her camera lens, often losing herself in the art of photography. A creative spirit, Victoria was also passionate about music-both as a listener and a creator. Traveling was another passion she pursued with enthusiasm. She loved exploring new places, trying new foods, and meeting new people along the way. If the city she was in had a Chinatown, she made it a priority to visit. She also used her travels to meet adoptees she met in an online support group. Every journey was a chance for Victoria to learn and grow, always bringing back stories and memories that would last a lifetime. She had an incredible ability to network and connect with people. No one ever felt left out in her presence; she had a knack for making everyone feel heard, valued, and supported.
She is survived by her parents Dan & LouAnn Parsons; siblings Matthew (Sarah) Parsons, Joshua (Megan) Parsons, and Sarah (Jeremy) Fischer; nieces and nephews Ethan, Micah, Josiah, Edna, Ida, Carson, and Harper; grandparents George and Joyce Schowalter; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many good friends. She was preceded in death by grandparents Bill & Mary Ann Parsons, and an uncle.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26 from 4:00-7:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 pm at Church and Chapel Funeral Home-Waukesha (380 Bluemound Rd. Waukesha, WI 53188). In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family appreciated.
Victoria will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness, creativity, and love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
