Videll B. Hollister

Videll B. Hollister, age 86, of Cambridge passed away July 13, 2024 at Gracepointe Crossing. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 23rd at Strike Life Tributes in ISANTI. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Isanti Union Cemetery with lunch following. A recording of the service will be posted here after the service.
Videll Berneice Hollister was born to Raymond and Emma (Aadland) Syverson on January 23, 1938, in Sisseton, South Dakota. Videll was raised in the Sisseton area with her five siblings until she left home to start working and eventually moved to the Twin Cities area. Videll met her husband Bob through mutual friends and relatives. Bob and Videll were married on August 30, 1958. They lived in St. Paul and Crystal before moving to the Isanti/Cambridge area where they raised three children-Lon, Wade, and Sherri. After Bob retired, he and Videll enjoyed living in Hot Springs, SD for 10 years before coming back to Cambridge in 2015.
Videll was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. Videll will be remembered for her faith in God and was often heard singing portions of hymns throughout the day in recent years especially. Videll loved to cook for and entertain friends and family; collecting and trying new recipes was one of her hobbies. Videll loved going for drives with Bob around the areas in which they lived to look at fall colors, find wildlife in the Black Hills, or just enjoy the scenery.
Videll passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at GracePointe Crossing at the age of 86 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob; parents, Raymond and Emma Syverson; and siblings, Patty Watkins, Doris Spangler, Dean Syverson, and Raymond Syverson, Jr.
Videll will be deeply missed by sons, Lon (Esther), Wade (Vickie), and daughter Sherri; grandchildren, Corey (Monica), Cody (Jeannie) Hollister, Karla (Ryan) Filibeck, and Kya (Cory) Henningson; and great-grandchildren, Maleah, Zarah, Willow, and Haven Hollister; Nova, Creelyn, and Oakley Hollister; Amalie and Talia Filibeck, Logan and Lincoln Picha. She is also survived by her sister, Beth Grieser of Hot Springs, SD; sister-in-law, Barbara Syverson, and many nieces and nephews.
