Vikki Lynn Sterne

Vikki Lynn Sterne, 56, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on July 11, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Wendle Murphy.

Vikki was born on August 4, 1967, in Massachusetts. She graduated high school at Holy Cross. Her path was less traditional because she put the needs of her family first. Her accounting career began at Quik-E foods, making countless friends she would keep for life. Years later, she achieved a bachelor's degree in accounting at Liberty University while working full-time. At the time of her passing, she had built a memorable career at Boonsboro Country Club which will influence many in this community for years to come.

Vikki was strong, passionate, and independent. Her love and compassion knew no bounds. She had a big place in her heart for her fur babies, Bean, Xyla, Milo, and Ollie. Vikki loved the ocean and spending entire days at the beach soaking in the sunshine. When at home, she enjoyed making crafts and watching crime tv series while cuddling with Bean on the couch.

Vikki is survived by her children, Kenny, Kealey, and adopted son Ajay Walker as well as many others close to us who she would claim as one of her own.

A memorial service will be held on July 17, 2024, at 4pm at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be to the Campbell County SPCA and the Lynchburg Humane Society.
