Vincent Bisignano Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals & Cremation Service on Dec. 22, 2025.
Vincent Bisignano, 79, of Marlboro, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Vinny, as he was known to his family and friends, was born on January 1, 1946, in Regalbuto, a commune in the province of Enna, Sicily. Vinny was the beloved son of the late Giuseppe and Santa Bisignano. In 1955, he immigrated to the United States, settling in Brooklyn, NY. A graduate of New Utrecht High School, he went on to serve his country in the United States Army, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. After receiving an honorable discharge, he returned home to Brooklyn, where he focused on family life and continued his professional career as an automobile mechanic.

In 1973, Vinny married the love of his life, Millie, they started a family in Brooklyn. During this time, he worked as a Superintendent for the New York City Transit Authority. Their daughter, Jennifer was born in 1974, followed by their son, Joseph in 1984. Following their retirement, Vinny and Millie moved to Jackson NJ to be closer to their first grandson. After Millie's passing in 2019, Vinny moved to Marlboro, NJ.

Vincent enjoyed spending time tending to his home garden in Brooklyn and was especially proud of his fig trees and tomato plants. His first fig tree was brought home from Sicily, and he took pride in propagating it and gifting it to special people in his life. He was known for being handy around the house and was always eager to take on new projects. Above all else, Vincent cherished time spent with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Vincent was predeceased by his beloved wife, Millie Bisignano.

He is survived by his loving children, Jennifer Zellin and her husband Scott, and Joseph Bisignano and his husband Rod DeVriendt; his cherished grandsons, Nicholas and Jayden; and his caring brother, Salvatore Bisignano, and his wife Grace.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 U.S. Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
