In memory of
Pawtucketville Kid

Remember him and the tune vividly from my youth! My dad had made up some lyrics for part of that tune: "Give me some money to buy ice cream today from Mr. Softee." RIP, sir and thank you for the memories - and ice cream!

My deepest thoughts and sympathies go out to the entire Comtois family. Vincent was a wonderful loving man, father and person. I will always remember him greeting me with smile when I was a boy. My favorite thing I bought from ''Mister Softee'' was the Parfait with strawberry sauce!
Another Angel has ascended to Heaven!

Mr. Comtois, Mister Softee, is a very happy, bright memory from my childhood. He used to come to our neighborhood on Ludlam Street every summer. This photo of him in his truck is exactly as I remember him, smiling and happy to take my order.

My condolences to your family. I remember Mr. Softee from when I was a young girl growing up in Lowell. He was always so kind to everyone and we all loved him. I often tell my adult children about how Mr. Softee would drive around the neighborhoods and always could create a perfect soft serve cone everytime. Not like todays... his were 8"+ tall! Thank you for sharing him with us. RIP Mr. Softee
