Vincent Cordy Obituary
Vincent D. Cordy Jr. "Big Papa", of Vienna, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio.
Vince was born March 29, 1942 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Vincent D. and Nicolena (Pascarella) Cordy Sr.
Vince was a self-employed man, working at various jobs throughout his lifetime.
He was a member of St. Rose Church in Girard.
Vince loved watching his favorite television show, Gun Smoke, all the time. He always looked forward to Sunday dinners with his family, where special memories will forever be held in the hearts of his loved ones.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 62 years, Patricia (DeNiro) Cordy, whom he married September 29, 1962; his children, Vincent D. (Carol) Cordy III, of Vienna, David A. Cordy Sr., of Liberty Twp, and Gregory S. Cordy Sr., of Liberty Twp.; grandchildren, Christine Cordy, Vincent (Nicole) Cordy IV, David Cordy, Jr., Gregory (Kelsie) Cordy Jr., Nicole (Daniel) Peebles, Catie Cordy and Kimmy Cordy; and great-grandchildren, Nicolena, Vincent D. V, Allison, Claire, Tayler, Jonathan and his great-granddaughter on the way.
Besides his parents, Vince is preceded in death by his sister, Marie Donnelly.
Private services will be held for the family at Blackstone Funeral Home.
The family also wishes to extend their extreme gratitude to Justin Hideg, for his compassion and care that was given to Vince.
