Vincent Francis Halter Jr.

Vincent was born on April 19, 1932 and passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Vincent was a resident of Camden, South Carolina at the time of his passing. He was a graduate of the Citadel and received his Master's Degree from George Washington University. Halter was a Retired United States Air Force Colonel with 27 years of service. While serving, he was a fighter pilot and instructor of F-102, F-4 and F-15's. He was Base Commander at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico. He was married to Nancy. Memorial services will be held Friday, May 25, 2012 at 4:00 PM at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Sumter. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 6:00 ' 8:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home,Camden Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Pastor Halter's memory to Kairos Prison Ministry of South Carolina, P.O. Box 6211, Columbia, SC 29260, or the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter, 460 S. Fair Street, Camden, SC 29020.
