Vincent Iacono Obituary

Born November 1, 1939 passed away June 14, 2014 at the age of 74 from lung cancer. Vince was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine and Vincent Iacono, Sr. and brother, Anthony "IKE" Iacono. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Betty (Marchello) Iacono; one daughter, Tina; grandson, Marc Antony Nardone of Snelling, CA; stepson, Ricky Mello; sister, Bobbie (Bob) Stottlemire; nephews, Anthony (Rose) Iacono and David (Sophie) Iacono; and nieces, Cathy (Shawn) Stone and Brandi Iacono Torrez. Vince was a real "Pedro" guy, having lived his whole life in San Pedro. He travelled the 7 seas as a Merchant Marine for a few years, and then came back to his first love, San Pedro. He was a retired longshoreman and pensioner of ILWU Local 13. Services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Entombment site at Green Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
