Vincent J. "Vinny" Kugler Sr.

Vincent J. "Vinny" Kugler Sr., 92, passed away October 24, 2025.
Vinny was born in Bound Brook, raised in Somerville and formerly of Bridgewater for many years before moving to Toms River. He was a 1952 graduate of Somerville High School. Vinny was employed as a power line worker for PSE&G in New Brunswick for over 40 years, retiring in 1993. Vinny was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion in Toms River. In his spare time, Vinny enjoyed fishing, hunting, sailing on his sail boat, and attending the Marlboro HS Football games and watching the Somerville HS Marching Band. Vinny will be sadly missed by all.
He is survived by his elder sister, Vera Manara. He is predeceased by his brothers Victor and Rudolph Kugler.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Dorothy (Schmidt) Kugler, a daughter Peg Amorosa and her husband Michael, a son Vincent Kugler Jr. and his wife Alison, grandchildren Peter Amorosa (Samantha Lord), Joseph Amorosa (Rebeka Biermann), Andrew Kugler, and Tyler Kugler (Eileen Kugler), and four great grandchildren Nicolino, Theodore, Augustus, and Edith.
A celebration of life will be 1-4pm Saturday, November 15, at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home,111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville. Entombment of ashes will take place privately at St. Bernard Mausoleum.
