Vincent Raymond Molitor, known affectionately to friends and family as Vince, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, in Laurens, South Carolina, at the age of 81. Born on March 17, 1944, in Napierville, Illinois, Vince was a man whose warmth and creativity left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he encountered.
Vince's life was one of active engagement and joyous pursuits. He enjoyed fishing, often found down by the water's edge, rod in hand, waiting for the day's catch. His love for golf was equally known, as he spent many a sunny day on the greens, perfecting his swing and enjoying the camaraderie of fellow golf enthusiasts. Vince's passion for sports extended into his community contributions as a dedicated baseball coach, where he mentored young athletes with patience and a spirit of fair play.
Beyond the playing fields and waterways, Vince was a man of many talents. His love for reading was only matched by his skill in carpentry. With a craftsman's eye and a steady hand, he created beautiful pieces of furniture and intricate woodwork that served as a testament to his creative spirit. His handiwork not only filled his home with character but also brought joy to those lucky enough to receive his crafted gifts.
Family was the cornerstone of Vince's life. He is survived by his loving daughter, Tammy Vasquez, who will carry forward the lessons of kindness and resilience he instilled in her. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Steve Malone Jr. and Ashlee Malone, and his great-grandchildren, Madelyn Salinas, Elise Mejia, and Nikolai Mejia, who will remember him for his playful spirit and the gentle guidance he provided.
Vince's life was a tapestry of meaningful relationships, enduring friendships, and heartfelt moments. His absence will be deeply felt, but the memories he created will continue to inspire and comfort those who knew him. As we bid farewell to Vincent Raymond Molitor, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, creativity, and friendship. His story does not end here, for he lives on in the hearts of his family and the many lives he touched.
