Vincent Dennis Reardon, 86, of Montgomery, NY, died on September 25, 2025, at his home. Dennis was born on September 14, 1939, to Regina and Vincent A. Reardon. He graduated from Haverstraw High School, attended Clarkson College, and finished his undergraduate studies in chemistry at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He furthered his education going to school at night for his master's in chemistry at SUNY New Paltz.

Family was the center of his life. Dennis was a loving husband to his wife, Gail A. Reardon, for 54 years, and a wonderful father and proud grandfather.

His career spanned over four decades, including 34 years at Avon Products in Suffern, where he worked as a chemist and program leader for analytical global research and development. Prior to this, he worked at Union Carbide Sterling Forest Nuclear Research Center, with notable achievements including co-patenting an ion exchange system for the separation of Ba-137m from Cs-137.

A devout Catholic, Dennis received his first communion and confirmation at St. Peter's Church in Haverstraw, where he served as an altar boy. He was a member of Holy Name of Mary-Assumption in Montgomery for the past 50 years.

As a young man, basketball, golf, and photography brought him great joy. Dennis had fond memories working as a golf caddy at Dellwood Country Club in Rockland County. He had a great laugh, enjoyed comedy and science fiction movies, and liked playing old-school video games. His kindness and generosity were defining traits, and he showed his love through everyday acts.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Gail, and his children, Jennifer and Matthew Reardon, to whom he was a dedicated father. He also loved Jennifer's husband, Christopher Wright, and his grandson, Aidan Myles Wright, who he adored. He loved his siblings and relatives who survive him including Edward P. Reardon and his wife, Jean, and their family, Jean A. Reardon, James A. Reardon and his wife, Sharon, and his sister- and brother-in-law Eileen and William Hamilton and family.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 2, 12:30-1:30 pm at Overhiser Funeral Home at 78 Union Street in Montgomery, NY. A funeral mass will follow at 2 pm at Holy Name of Mary-Assumption Church in Montgomery. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Name of Mary-Assumption Church, 89 Union Street, Montgomery, NY.
