Vinnhi “Elsy” Aggarwal, born on June 4, 1947 to Thomas & Saramma Peter of Cherumanchira House in Mulanthuruthy, Kochi, Kerala India; peacefully went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2025; preceded in death by her husband Rajesh Aggarwal; beloved mother of Ravita (Matthew) Alex, Ajoy (Carol) Aggarwal, and Anita (Tanuj) Kohli; proud grandmother of Sureya Alex, Vivek Alex, Laxmi Aggarwal, Anjani Aggarwal and Angad Kohli; dear elder sister of Mercy Peter; respected matriarch to a large extended family and fondly remembered by many friends.
Elsy was a very religious woman and proud member of the St George Syrian Orthodox Church which she attended regularly. Nursing was her lifelong career and how she met her husband in New Delhi, India as well as what brought her to the US in 1974. Some of her hobbies included gardening, doing crossword puzzles, cooking and watching Indian movies & serials. She was trilingual, speaking English, Hindi & Malayalam fluently. A ectionately known as Mommy, Mom, Ammachi, Nanammachi, Chettathi, Aunty, Bhabhi and Taiji - she was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.
