Vinnie Lee Blanchard Life Reflection

Mother Vinnie Lee Blanchard peacefully took her wings on December 23, 2025. In her quiet transition she said, "Goodbye world, so long family, don't cry for me. I'm in the arms of my loving Father until we meet again."

Mother Vinnie Lee Blanchard was born on March 5, 1943, in Holly Hill, South Carolina, to the late Nathaniel and Corine White. She was raised in Holly Hill, where she developed strength, resilience, and work ethic that would guide her throughout her life. Although her formal education ended after the tenth grade, she could out spell just about anyone.

Vinnie Lee at the age of 15, she married and moved from Holly Hill to Eutawville, South Carolina. From this union, she was blessed with three children: Vivian Gadson, Anthony "Bub" Gadson, and Natalie Gadson. Shortly after the birth of her youngest child, she relocated to New York City in search of greater opportunities for her family.

Vinnie Lee, in New York City, devoted 25 years of faithful service to Wartburg Nursing Home, where she worked diligently until her retirement. She was a hard worker in every season of her life she sold Tupperware which earned her a free trip to Chicago through her dedication and perseverance. She also participated in the Unity Crowd Association as an Assistant Business Manager, where she helped raise funds to help build Greater Unity AME Church.

Vinnie Lee was known as a true jack of all trades, she was gifted with her hands and her mind. She was a seamstress for her family and baked the family's famous sweet potato pies. She also had a remarkable green thumb and found great joy in gardening, taking pride in watching her flowers bloom and grow.

Vinnie Lee in 1977, met and married her Boaz, Isaac "Tony" Blanchard. Their marriage endured for 36 years. From this union, she was blessed with twin daughters, LaKasha Tawana Blanchard and LaTasha Cowana Blanchard, both of whom preceded her in death.

Vinnie Lee in 1987, became a member of Jersey City Deliverance Temple in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she was baptized under the leadership of Apostle Eugene Stackhouse. She faithfully served the church as a Deaconess. Desiring a deeper understanding of God's Word, she attended Community Bible Institute seminary school, where she excelled and earned numerous certificates of completion.

Vinnie Lee and her loving husband returned to South Carolina in 2013 and joined Refuge Temple under the leadership of District Elder Harold Young. Shortly after joining the church, her beloved husband, Isaac "Tony" Blanchard passed away. Despite this profound loss, Mother Blanchard remained steadfast in her faith and continued to serve as a Missionary. In her spare time, she attended computer classes for seniors at CORE.

Vinnie Lee rededicated her life to the Lord in November 2025, reaffirming her unwavering faith even as her health began to decline.

Her favorite scripture, Isaiah 40:31, reflected her life and testimony:
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint."

Vinnie Lee Blanchard was preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel and Corine White; her husband, Isaac "Tony" Blanchard; her twin daughters, LaKasha Tawana Blanchard and LaTasha Cowana Blanchard; and her siblings, Christine James Fogg, Leola Matthew, and Talmach White.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving children: Vivian Gadson, Anthony Gadson, and Natalie Gadson; her brother, Anthony A. White (Ernestina); her grandchildren, Kendra Wood, Shaniqua Hamilton-Spencer (Kynarti), Anthony L. Gadson, Latrice Blanchard, Clyde Hudson, and Dimitri Hudson; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
