Viola Eppink Obituary
Viola Doris Eppink was born on November 29, 1923 in Columbia Polk Minnesota to Hjalmer William Hultberg and Hannah Emilia Lidenberg and passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018. Viola was the second child born in a family of five girls and five boys. Viola married John Eppink In Morehead ,Mtn .in 1944 and a son Ronald Jerome Eppink was born in 1945. The family all migrated to the west coast,settling in Vancouver Washington where her father and brothers worked in the shipyards .The family settled later in Corvallis Or. Viola and John lived in Corvallis for the most of their life.John was a Carpenter and Electrician ,while Viola worked at the laundry. in Corvallis.. Viola and John later owned and operated a cafe on the Philomath Hwy and Vi was famous for her homemade pies. John retired after being injured on the job and they later moved back to Frazee Mn. were they had a small farm.They sold that property when John's health was failing and moved to Bend Or. where their son and wife.and grandchildren lived. John passed away in April 1997. Vi moved back to Corvallis shortly after his death .Vi spent a lot of time with her sister Grace and husband Ed going to music jams and dances at various Lodges and Granges around the Corvallis area . Vi loved a good garage sale and loved shopping Goodwill for antiques. She was amazing at crochet, knitting and needlepoint . Viola was generous to anyone who needed a helping hand and always there to help her family. She is survived by her son Ronald Jerome Eppink
and wife Sharon of Sisters ,Oregion ,a grandson Jeffery Eppink , granddaughter Molly Eppink of Bend Oregon and great granddaughter Miranda Vaughn of Salem Oregon. She is also survived by her brothers and wives , Leroy and Judy Hultberg, Corvallis Or. ,Milton and Carolyn Hultberg ,Powell Butte Or.,sister Grace Delk Corvallis Or. and sister Shirley Brown of Mckinney Tx. and one sister-in-law Willene Hultberg ,Corvallis Or. She was preceded in death by her husband John Eppink. her parents Hjalmer and Hannah Hultberg, her sisters Irene Anderson and Eleanor Bailey Corvallis Or. and husband Robert Bailey, her brothers Delmer ( Bud ) Hultberg and wife Gladys , Hjalmer D . Hultberg and wife Betty. and Rueben C. Hultberg ,brother Howard Henry of Michigan, and brother -in-law Wayne Brown. ,Mckinney Tx. Several nieces and nephews proceeded her in death as well.She was also survived by five generations of nieces and nephews in Oregon, Washington. Texas, Arizona and Michigan.
My sister was loved by us all and will be missed greatly. We will miss her great laugh and crazy sense of humor. I hope she is at peace from her suffering and dancing with the Angels .Till we meet again you will not be forgotten. ????
