Viola "Vi" Hinely, born on September 20, 1946, in Fairborn, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, in New Lebanon, Ohio. A devoted member of the Parkview Nazarene Church in Kettering, Viola will be remembered for her kind, welcoming, and nurturing spirit that touched the lives of many.

Viola dedicated over twenty years of her professional life at the Defense Electronics Supply Center (DESC) in Kettering, from which she retired. Her career reflects a commitment not only to her work but also to the community she served. A proud graduate of Fairborn High School, she carried the values instilled during her education throughout her life.

As a mother, Viola is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Donald) Harrison, and son, David Hinely. She was a loving grandmother to four grandchildren: Jesse and Lacey Harrison, Brooklyn and Madison Hinely. Her family was the central focus of her life, and she reveled in every moment spent with them. She is additionally survived by her brother, Marvin (Cheri) Williams, her sister, Vicky Hussong, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who cherished her deeply.

Viola was known for her passion for traveling, her love of puzzles, and her skill in crochet. Her greatest pride was always reflected in the biggest smiles on her face when cradling a baby in her arms, a testament to her nurturing nature.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Mary Williams, and three brothers, Homer E., Myron, and Melvin Williams, who will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew them.

Viola Hinely leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and the joy she found in the simple moments of life. She will be profoundly missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
