Violet Carlson Obituary
Age 95 of Apple Valley, born August 31, 1928 in Red Wing, MN to August and Hulda Applequist, passed away January 6, 2024. The second youngest of a large family of Scandinavian parents. Family unity was stressed. Even though a nursing career was never fulfilled, her need to help and care for some of her older siblings was part of her life. She felt very fortunate to have had a very full and rewarding life, traveling and living abroad with her loving husband and two sons. She felt great pride in the love of her sons, Bruce (Joan) and Steven (Pat); grandchildren, Jesse Carlson and Miranda Carlson; great grandchildren: Zech and Parvati Carlson, along with the patient and compatible trust of her husband, Don. Her faith in God, prayer, and angels supported her daily living. Memorial Service, 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 25, 2024 with a visitation one hour before at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd., Apple Valley. Violet will be laid to rest with her husband at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.

She was like my second grandma..she watched over me when I was little..Fond memories of chicken and stars soup and blueberry yogurt....She was loved by my family and we enjoyed the memories we created with her..You are now with your loving husband and no longer in pain. I will miss your birthday cards with your lovely notes inside. And one of the last phone calls a couple years ago we talked and caught up with life events.And you sounded great!!! I will miss you but I know I will see u again..Please watch over my Mom.
She misses u like crazy and so do I and my sister..Heaven gained a beautiful angel
