Violet Faith Enick affectionately known as Faye made Heaven her home on Tuesday, April 30th 2024. She was 55. Faye was born April 10th 1969 in Toppenish Washington to Harold G. and Violet Stops Enick. Faye was a member of the Crow tribe and Greasy Mouth Clan and descendant of the Suak-Suaittle tribe as well as the Tulalip Tribe of Washington State.
Faye was born on her father's birthday; he always said that was the only way he would name a junior to his name. Being born a girl he named her after Momma Violet and added the middle name Faith. With being the youngest of the family they called her Baby Faith but Lewis could never say that so Baby Faye or just Faye it was from there.
Faye was born into a family who were members of the Ministry of God. The Enick Family often traveled together preaching and singing the Gospel to numerous areas. Whether they lived or stayed for extended periods of time those places were Toppenish Wa, Polson Mt, Marysville Wa, Everett Wa Tulalip Wa before settling in Crow Agency. When in the Lodge Grass area they often stayed and were close to the Carpenter and Jefferson families who housed them often. Growing up in church and traveling she became quite the young lady of prayer and very gifted singer. Faye often composed and wrote songs and poems of her own. She always carried with her notebooks and journals so she could write when something special came to her.
Faye attended schools in many of the areas they lived or stayed if not home schooled while traveling. While living in Maryville she attended school in that district before they made the final move. After settling in Crow she began attending school in the Hardin school district. She later completed her GED for completion of her education.
Faye worked many years as an administrative assistant with Home Care services. She later moved to Billings Mt and worked for the Sub offices of the Crow Tribe during that time. She was always very excellent in those positions due to very detailed organization skills.
Faye had two unions in her lifetime. From these unions her prides and joy were born to her; sons Dusty, Anthony, Jonathan and her daughter Jonaya James. They were always her main points of contact. She often called to check in with them and tell them she loved them. She was forever collecting trinkets and rocks and stones that she saved and gifted to her children. Her children were the main twinkles of her eyes.
Everyone that knew Faye well knew she was the biggest Social Butterfly. Loved to be around music and singing. During her time in Billings a few lucky friends got to hear her sing Karaoke. She greeted everyone with the biggest smile you would never know if she was having a tough time. Faye had the biggest heart for all her loved ones and friends. She always lightened everyone's moods by cracking a joke or doing something silly. She was always willing to even give the clothes off her back to help someone she thought needed it more. With the heart of gold she carried she was not without struggles but never did she ever lose sight of who she truly was, a woman full of Love, Strength, and Empathy and always the prayer Warrior for all.
All who will miss her Her daughter Jonaya and sons Dusty, Anthony and Jonathan James; sisters Mary (Raven) Price, Eunice TakesTheHorse; Brothers Lewis (Royann), Nathan (Veronica), Francis and John Enick; Maternal aunts Kathryn Old Crow, Pamela Little Light, Martha (Richard) King, Sharon, Leita Rides Horse; Uncles Melvin Stops, Sammy, Gary Sr and Golden Eagle Rides Horse; Paternal aunts Edith, Phyllis Enick, Georgina Bueno, Francine Ike, Connie White and Uncle Darrell Enick.
Close Family members who preceded her in death parents Harold G. & Violet S Enick, Hartford Stops, Sheila, Nadine Rides Horse, Gerald Enick. Geraldine, LenaRose Williams, Christine Enick.
Our family is very large on the Crow/Montana side as is on the Washington side with both tribes and Enick family. Sister Faye had many cousins, nieces and nephews friends of all ages no matter where she was as well as many she adopted as her chosen family.
