It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Violet Irene Macomber; our wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend. She passed peacefully on March 13, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She fought a very long and hard battle against cancer for many years and is now at peace. She was 63.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Sequim Valley Funeral Chapel.
Violet was born on December 25, 1961, in Port Angeles, Washington, to William and Edith (Gilchrist) Fuller. She joined five siblings and eventually two more siblings joined the family. Violet lived her entire life in Port Angeles. She graduated from Port Angeles High School in 1980 and completed one year of college with the goal of working with children with special needs. However, plans have a way of changing and she chose to marry instead and devoted the rest of her life to becoming the best wife and mother that anyone could ask for.
Violet met Brad Macomber as a young child in kindergarten and became life-long friends. They would eventually marry on June 16, 1981, at the Church of Christ in Port Angeles. As a young adult, and prior to having a family, she was very active in her church. Violet taught Sunday School and was active in various church groups. Brad and Violet eventually had four children: Amanda, Adam, Alex and Anita. Violet was involved in her kids' school, church, and sports activities while the children were growing up. She enjoyed this very much.
Coming from a large family and having a large family, life was very busy! She enjoyed spending time with her family and having gatherings at her house. After the youngest child entered school, Violet worked in the school lunchroom so that she could always have the same days off as her children. After the children were raised, Violet went to work at Ross Dress for Less and eventually became assistant store manager prior to her retirement. Violet enjoyed camping with her family and extended family and time she spent around the campfire. She loved traveling around the country and to various other parts of the world.
Violet is survived by her loving husband Brad; daughters Amanda and Anita; son Adam (wife, Alishia) and their children Wakeem and Naomi and granddaughter Jaelyn. Violet is also survived by siblings: Marjorie, Nancy, Tim, Shirley and Doug.
She was predeceased by both parents; son Alex in 2022, and siblings Charles, Rosemarie, and Janie.
The family would like to thank Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County for their support during this difficult time.

I am sorry to hear of Violet's passing. May she rest in peace and Brad be comforted. I am blessed to have gone to school with both from Monroe Elem. where I witnessed a great life long love. I am lucky to have known such role modeling and found a friendship first in my own marriage, but from age 25 instead of 5. God bless you and keep you always...Love, Toni O'Connell (Bellis--step family maiden name)
