Violet May Miller, a beacon of love and adventure, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, in Bruner, Missouri with her husband, Mike and pet Rocky by side. Born on July 4, 1951, in Springfield, Missouri, to the late Fred and Ethel Butler, Violet's life was a tapestry of devotion to her loved ones and a zest for life's simple pleasures.
Violet's early years in Springfield were filled with the bustling energy of a large family. Although she was preceded in death by her cherished son Louis Allen Agee and 14 brothers and sisters, her spirit of family togetherness never faded. Violet's heart found its match in her loving husband, Mike Miller, with whom she shared countless rides on the back of their Harley Davidson, embracing the freedom of the open road.
A proud mother, Violet's legacy is carried on through her children, Michelle Hill, Crisy Agee, Tonya Woodruff, and Louie Collins. Her brother Paul Butler, brother Jimmy Dale Butler, and sister Dorothy Peck will hold dear the memories of their sister's thoughtful and loving nature. Violet's life was further enriched by the joy of her numerous grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, who will continue to be inspired by her adventurous spirit.
Violet's creative journey was marked by several years at a local candle factory, where she not only honed her craft but also cultivated lifelong friendships. Her passion for candle making was not just a job but an extension of her nurturing soul, with each candle she made spreading light to others.
Those who knew Violet will remember her for the warmth she brought into every room and the care she took in maintaining strong, loving relationships with all she met. She was the embodiment of thoughtfulness, always putting others before herself, and her loving nature was the foundation upon which her family grew.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a future date to be determined.
