Virgil Kellogg, Sr., age 92, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Saturday – July 5, 2014. He was born in Walker County to the late Paul & Daisy Watts Kellogg. He had been a lifelong resident of Walker County and retired from E. T. Barwick Mills where he worked in maintenance. He had also worked at TVA where he was a lineman. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting. His favorite pastime was singing and playing his guitar with family and friends. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant son: Richard Kellogg, daughter: Brenda Sue Lowery, sisters: Mable Arnold, Ruby and Elnora Kellogg, brothers: Raymond and Bill Kellogg. He is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years: Lettie Sue Wyatt Kellogg, their children: Virgil Kellogg, Jr., Paul Kellogg, and Linda Kellogg, sister: Ruth Stoker all of Chickamauga, GA, four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm Tuesday and after 1:00 pm Wednesday. Funeral services will be held graveside at 3:00 pm Wednesday – July 9, 2014 at Coulter Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Homes – Chickamauga Chapel.
