Virgil Tomasic Obituary
Born on October 3, 1948, in Lorain to parents George and Helen Tomasic, Virgil graduated from Lorain Admiral King High School in 1966. He then served in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
Virgil had a long career at Lorain Works U.S. Steel, working in the maintenance department for over 30 years before retiring in 2002. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Local 1104.
For many years, he enjoyed shooting trap and, more recently, attending turkey shoots. He cherished his friendships and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Nick) Ramage of Wakeman; his son, Jeff Tomasic of Indiana; his grandchildren, Alexis, Cody, Victoria, and Tyler; and his sister, Renee (Bill) Davitz of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen (nee Rado) Tomasic, and his sister, Janice Tomasic.
The family is looking forward to holding a Celebration of Life for Virgil in the Spring.

Sorry to hear about Virgil's passing. He was a good neighbor, and we had good times cooking out. Virgil used to come over my house for supper and he loved my beef tips over rice. He also enjoyed my cats. That was a nice picture of Virgil and his cat. To Cindy and Nick and family and Jeff, sorry for the loss of your father. With deepest sympathy, Linda Nagy.
