Virgil Dean Wickham

LODI - Virgil Dean Wickham, age 69, found eternal peace on Sunday, September 4, 2011. He was born on September 6, 1941 in Lodi, the son of Herschel "Barney" and Anna (Alme) Wickham. Virgil was employed for 37 years as a Pharmacy Technician at Central Wisconsin Center. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lodi. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, coin collecting and he could never pass up a garage sale. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren at the farm. Virgil will be greeted at Heaven's gates by his beloved companion Ricky. Virgil will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Karen; his children, Amy (Ray) Sopha, Doug (Jodi) Wickham and Larry (Trish) Wickham; his grandchildren, Derek, Lauren, Nathan, Isabelle, Alicia, Aaron and Heather; step-father, Ray Hagen; brothers, Allen (Carol) Wickham and Ron (Colleen) Oimoen; sisters, Judy (Bob) Buchanan and Cristi (Roland) Maier; sisters-in-law, Eileen Wickham and Diana Wickham; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Arthur Oimoen; his brothers, Byron and Bill Wickham; and a nephew, DelRay Wickham. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2011 at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH in Lodi, with the Rev. Gretchen Lord-Anderson officiating. Burial will be at County Line Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the HAMRE FUNERAL HOME in Lodi, and from 10:00 a.m. until the service at the church on Friday morning. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the HospiceCare Inc. Center.
