Virginia A. Barrett

Virginia A. Barrett, 78, of Franklin, IN, passed away Tuesday April 25, 2018 at Homeview Health & Rehabilitation. Virginia was born November 8, 1939, a daughter of the late James and Vera (Schoonover) Stewart. She loved her family, playing Bingo, going to garage sales and she also loved her animals. Survivors include her sons Michael (Lela) Barrett and David (Tina) Whapham, a daughter Debbie Ramsey; brother Karl (Phyllis) Stewart; sister Wanda Owens, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-granchildren and several nieces and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers; Joe Stewart, Bill Stewart, Chuck Stewart and John Stewart and her children, Rita McClain Barrett and Bobby Joe Barrett. Family and friends will gather Tuesday May 1, 2018 for visitation from 4-6pm at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227. Burial will take place Friday May 4, 2018, 1pm at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143.
