Virginia Lee Parker-Blenman, affectionately known as "Aunt Jenny," passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on October 2, 1934, in Buffalo, New York, she was the fourth of five children born to William Earl and Zirrah Myrtle Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved siblings: Delores, Frances, Florence, and William Jr. A proud graduate of Fosdick-Masten High School, Mrs. Parker-Blenman followed in her father's footsteps as she worked for the United States Postal Service as a dedicated postal clerk from 1955 until her retirement in 1975. She later served as a beloved teacher's aide at Emmanuel Temple Seventh-day Adventist School from 1979 to 1987, nurturing and inspiring students in grades PreK through 4. Virginia was baptized at Jefferson Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church at the age of 17 and lived a life rooted in faith, service, and joy. A gifted musician, she studied voice and organ, and sang in both the Women's Choir and Gospel Choir at Emmanuel Temple SDA Church. On April 14, 1974, she married the late Orman Lindsey Blenman II. Together, they raised one son, Orman Lindsey Blenman III. In her retirement, Virginia's love of service and adventure led her on mission trips to India, Holland, Switzerland, England, and throughout Europe. She also traveled widely across the United States visiting friends and enjoying cultural tours. Though she had one child, "Aunt Jenny" was a mother figure to many. Her warm heart and generous spirit embraced not only her biological family but all children she encountered. She lovingly referred to herself as V.L.P. - "Very Loving Person" - and truly lived up to the name. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted son, Orman III; her daughter-in-law, Kristin; three cherished grandchildren, Kyle, Alanna, and Nathaniel; and a host of nieces, nephews, who adored her. Virginia's legacy is one of love, music, faith, and service. Her presence was a gift, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Condolences may be made on this page.
