Virginia Catherin Brockel, affectionately known as Ginny, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, in St. Peters, Missouri, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 8, 1947, in Wellston, Missouri, Ginny lived a life filled with warmth, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to those she cherished.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Glenn Brockel, her daughter Jennifer (Ray) Jaeger, her granddaughter Mackenzie Jaeger, her cousin Bobby Bull, and countless friends.
Ginny was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, sharing countless moments filled with joy and laughter. Throughout her life, Ginny was an extraordinary woman known for her kindness, humor, and loving spirit. She left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lucille Simpson; her sister, Coletta Simpson; and her brother-in-law, Dale Doepke.
A visitation to celebrate Ginny's life will be held on January 14, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring the profound impact of a woman who truly exemplified kindness and love.
As we remember Virginia Catherin Brockel, we honor her legacy—a legacy defined by laughter, love, and the cherished moments spent with family and friends. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her, reminding us to embrace each day with as much joy and kindness as she did.
