Virginia Josephine (Szulecki) Dorich
Virginia Josephine Szulecki Dorich, 95, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at her daughter's residence.
She was born in Erie on February 28, 1929, a daughter of the late Gustave and Maryann Rutkowski Szulecki.
She married George S. Dorich, Sr in Erie Pa. May 10, 1953, who preceded her in death in 2008.
She was a graduate of East High School, Class of 1947. She worked for St. Mary's as a housekeeper, Hayes Manufacturing in Clerical work, and Griswold Mfg.
Virginia enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, sitting outside with the flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren, cats, and dogs.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Ted Scott and Stanley Szulecki and her sisters, Sophie Dombrowski and Helen Szulecki.
She is survived by her sons, George Dorich Jr. (Karen), Joe Dorich, Tom Dorich (Mary), Ed Dorich (Janet), all of Erie and Dale Dorich of South Carolina; and her daughter, Darlene Seath (Art) of Erie; her twin sister Mary Downing of Erie, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
