Virginia Thornburg Hudson

Virginia Thornburg Hudson, 91, of Farragut died on November 17, 2022, at Park West Hospital. She was born October 1, 1931, in Paint Rock, North Carolina to Ota and Ernest Thornburg. She is preceded in death by her husband William Hanner Hudson (Pap), her brother Harold Thornburg and her sister Christine Smith.
Surviving are her children Deborah Hooper (Ty), Karen Hudson, William Hudson (Karen), Mark Hudson and her granddaughter Erin Williams. Also surviving are her sisters Mary Ann McGraw and Linda Dunn and her brother John Thornburg.
She was also loved by Brandon, Ellie and Norah Perry and DeAnna Shackelford.
Virginia owned and operated the Little Choo Choo Daycare at her home, providing guidance and education to hundreds of children. She also led the development of a health care program at Farragut Schools securing materials and training for the parent volunteers who manned the facility.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 9 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Clicks Funeral Home in Farragut. Burial will take place on Saturday, December 10 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Forest Cemetery, Concord Road, Farragut.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
