Virginia L. Jacobs, 85, passed away on August 7, 2024.
She was born and raised in Treasureton, Idaho. As a teenager, she moved to Pocatello. At the age of 17, eleven days before her 18th birthday, she married Noel D. Jacobs. They enjoyed 54 years of wedded bliss together.
She worked in the banking field as a loan officer, teller, and her favorite, as a drive-up teller. She also worked as a receptionist at Quail Ridge Assisted Living. She retired at the age of 56 on August 31, 1994, to care for her mother.
Virginia enjoyed camping, fishing, family picnics, and parties.
The family would like to thank the staff at Caring Hearts for their support and care for the last years of Virginia’s life.
She is survived by her son, Nolan John (Tammie Lea) Jacobs of Inkom, ID; granddaughters, Heather Lynne and Megan Nichole Jacobs of Pocatello, ID; grandsons, Cedric Smith, Kinyon Smith and Shawn Fisher of Pocatello, ID; and sister, Shannon (Eldon) Halford of Idaho Falls, ID.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Noel D Jacobs; daughter, Lynne Adele Johnson; brothers, Stan Casteel and Gary Casteel; mother, Edith Casteel; father, James Casteel; and grandson, Nicholace Fisher.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID with a luncheon to follow. A graveside service will take place at 4:00 pm at the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery, 4600 S Yellowstone Hwy, Idaho Falls, ID.
