Virginia Kiphen, age 87 of Gatesville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 28, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Scott’s Funeral Home with Pastor James Parrish officiating. Interment will follow at Hemmeline Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Virginia Gamblin Kiphen was born on September 29, 1938, in Graham, Texas, to the late William Quinas and Ora Mae Robinson Gamblin. She grew up in Graham and graduated from Graham High School in 1956. On July 27, 1956, she married the love of her life, Eugene Kiphen, in Loving, Texas, and together they made their home in Gatesville.
A devoted homemaker, Virginia dedicated her life to raising their four children and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, attending family gatherings, and fellowshipping with friends and loved ones. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with warmth and kindness. Virginia loved the Lord deeply and was a lifelong member of Bethel Heights Baptist Church. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her great grandson, Cillian Cruzen; and her great-great grandson, Sawyer Talasek.
She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Eugene Kiphen; her sons, James Kiphen and wife Lori, Dale Kiphen and wife Brenda, and David (Curly) Kiphen and wife Linda; her daughter, Wanda Shepard and husband Jim; as well as her grandchildren, Matthew, Traci, Brandon, Amanda, Stacy, Clay, Eric, James, Jason, David, Tony, Robbie, Justin, Tasha, Tamara, Shannon, Skyler, and Roxanne; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
