Always considered her my second mother. She was sweet and loving, but would also give me some direction when I got out of line.
Around 1975, my front tooth broke in half. I was beyond devastated and embarrassed. I swore I would not return to school. I came from a broken home and having dental insurance was a luxury we could not afford.
Mrs Lewbart told me to get in the car, drove me over to Dr Horowitz who was a dentist. Low and behold I was fitted with a new cap that day.
I have so many wonderful and loving memories of her. May she Rest in Eternal Peace with the Lord.
