Virginia M. "Ginger" Rassega

Warren – Virginia (Ginger) Marie Rassega (age 84) passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Armstrong Memory Care in Champion.

Ginger was born February 5, 1941 in Warren, Ohio, a daughter of Andrew and Sophie (Bogetsky) Kuriatnyk.
Ginger was a 1958 graduate of Warren G Harding high school. Ginger married her high school sweetheart, Gerald (Jerry) J. Rassega on April 11, 1959 who passed away February 6, 2024. They shared 64 years together.
She is survived by her daughter Pamela J Hietikko (Andrew) and son Peter G Rassega (Lynnae). Grandchildren: Christopher Hietikko, PJ (Ruthie) Rassega, Paige (Chad) Mitchell, Pierce (Della) Rassega, Mason Rassega and Max Rassega. She also leaves behind 7 great grandchildren PJ III, Liam, Roman, Remington, Carmella, Jameson, Nico and one on the way. And her sister Doris (Dolly) Kelley of Espyville, PA.
In addition to her parents, her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Andy Kuriatnyk, Ed Kuriatnyk, Arlynne Caldwell.
Ginger was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Vienna, Ohio.
Calling hours will be held at Staton Borowski Funeral Home on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon, followed by a prayer service at 12:00 noon Saturday, with Fr. Brian Cline officiating.
A special thank you to the staff of Armstrong Memory Care for the love and support Ginger and her family was shown while she was a resident. Each of you has helped in too many ways to list. Your kindness to our mother has been a blessing.
