On June 15th, 2022, Virginia Lee Wohlford-Singleton, 81, of Fallston, MD, passed away surrounded by her family and friends at home. Virginia was the beloved wife of Charles Burton Singleton, married for 63 years; loving daughter of the late Clyde Wohlford and Mary Lee George; devoted mother of Laura Lee Singleton-Hoerr and her husband Paul Hoerr, and Charlotte Lynn Singleton-Abshire and her husband John Abshire; caring grandmother of Brandon Daniel Hoerr and his wife Lyndsey Hoerr and Collin Lee Hoerr and his significant other Allison Graden; dear sister of Dianna Wilkins, Ronny Wohlford, Carl Wohlford, Audrey Wohlford-Mills, Ricky Wohlford, Linda Wohlford-Mitchell, and the late Johnny Wohlford and Terry Wohlford; also survived by other many loving family and friends.
Virginia was an avid genealogist for over 20 years researching family trees and discovering the lineage of family ancestries. She was also a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and The United Daughters of the Confederacy. Virginia retired after 18 years working at the Harford County Public Library for the Bel Air and Fallston branches as a circulation clerk. She loved painting on wood projects that her husband would cut out and painting on rocks that she would give to family and friends and hide for discovery.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Virginia's life at the family owned Evans Life Celebration Home in Forest Hill, MD – 3 Newport Drive on Tuesday, June 21st, 2022 from 3-5PM & 7-9PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022 at 11AM. Interment at Highview Memorial Gardens - 3433 Fallston Rd, Fallston, MD 21047.
