Virginia Raab Sorota

Virginia (Ginny) Sorota, nee Raab, age 85 of Clearwater, Florida passed away on October 28, 2025. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Donald M. Sorota; her son Donald J. (Tina) Sorota; her granddaughter Makena; her brother-in-law Joseph (Theresa) Sorota, Jr and her sister-in-law Josephine Raab.
She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Clara Raab; her brothers, Edward, Victor, Fred, Robert, Clarence and Lawrence Raab; her sisters, Rosemary Stepien, Evelyn Reid, LaVerne Seberger, and Margaret Broholm; brothers-in-law, Carl Seberger and Kenneth Broholm; sisters-in-law Alice Raab and Joanie Raab.
Ginny loved to bake and was affectionately known by many in her neighborhood as "the cookie lady". She also had a lifelong passion for baseball and was a devoted Tampa Bay Rays fan, attending nearly every Sunday home game for much of the last 20 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities.
A private service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery will be held for the immediate family to celebrate and remember Ginny. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time of mourning.
