Virginia Rathbun Stuart

I met Virginia at Grace Church in the spring of 2019 having just moved to Providence in February. She was gracious and welcoming with her ever-engaging smile and au courant conversation. Virginia came to my House Blessing in November of 2019 and immediately bonded with my MaltiPoo, Choupinette. The friendship continued when I'd go to her house for tea.
Little did we know that her Christmas Party, December 2019, would be her last (because of Covid).
Virginia reminded me of my grandmother in looks and hobbies, and I wish I had known her sooner. I loved hearing her tell stories of her life's adventures, and, especially of the love of her life, Gil.
Blessings to all her family, who clearly embody Virginia's beautiful genes, and I'm so glad to have met Mary. The memorial and reception were a lovely tribute to her and I'm glad to have been a grateful participant.

I had the good pleasure of meeting Virginia through Grace Church in Providence, RI. I was instantly drawn to her engaging presence and effervescent and direct personality. It was an honor to know her. I greatly enjoyed speaking with her and was not surprised to read of her extensive and far-flung career over a long, life lived to the fullest: here was a truly remarkable and accomplished woman! It was a pleasure to meet many members of her family also to whom I express my sincere sympathy. I wish each of you the opportunity to reflect upon and be grateful for her whole life; and, to her spirit godspeed!

It was an honor AND a pleasure to know Virginia. She was a GRACIOUS lady to everyone at Grace Church and to everyone she met. I was SO happy to be able to see her last summer at the Coffee Hour at Grace Church, Her life's story is a legacy beyond all legacies!!! Me & Ken send our deepest sympathies to Virginia's family and friends and she will be SADLY missed!!! Luci & Ken
