Virginia Ann Subasic

Virginia Ann Subasic, age 95, of Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2024. She was born on August 26, 1928, in Benwood, West Virginia.
Virginia dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home as a homemaker. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as sewing, crocheting, gardening, and working in her yard. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly.
A devout Catholic, Virginia was a faithful member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, finding solace and community through her faith.
Virginia is now reunited with her beloved husband, Leonard M. Subasic, her parents, Frank and Johanna Yankovich, and her brother, Richard Yankovich, who have all gone before her.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Tim) O'Shaughnessy, Suzie (Derek) Gaudio, and Donna Kalany, as well as her twin sister, Regina Brak. Virginia's legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Tim (Maggie) and Shawn (Adrianne) O'Shaughnessy, Vince (Amanda) Gaudio, Olivia (Alex) Titus, Kirstie Hupp, and Billy Kalany, along with her great-grandchildren, Patrick, Liam, Haddie, Peyton, Connor, Kennedy O'Shaughnessy, Giavanna and Gabriella Gaudio, Beau, Leo, and Roman Titus, Vivianne Hupp.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation on Sunday, March 3rd, at Altmeyer Funeral Homes in Elm Grove from 4:00 to 7:00pm.
A vigil service will follow at 7:00pm led by Father Jeeson Stephan.
On Monday, March 4th, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church at 10:00am.
The committal service will conclude at Mount Calvary's Bishop's Chapel.
Virginia Ann Subasic will be remembered for her unwavering love, gentle spirit, and devotion to her family. May she rest in peace.
