Virginia Susan Whitson age 73
Passed away on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness. Susie was born on March 20, 1949 in Alice Texas to Mr. Lemuel and Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth (Coleman) Burchett. She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing her crafts, and raising her son, along with being an awesome grandmother. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Alice, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Michael Burchett.
Survivors include her husband Ernest L. Whitson of Three Rivers. Her son Daniel Edward Whitson of Port Lavaca. Her 2 sisters Carol Merritt of Three Rivers and Kathy Lunaas of Annaville.
She was blessed with 2 grandsons Patrick Wayne Whitson of North Carolina and Brandon Broderick Whitson of Virginia.
Visitation and Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM at First Assembly of God Church on I-37 and Hwy 72 E. Funeral Service will begin at 11 AM at the First Assembly of God Church. Pallbearers are Marshall Lunaas, Chris Chandler, Robert Marker, Kevin Stevens, Doyle Hill and Klaus Hinz. Honorary Pallbearer is R.C. Bellows.
Burial will immediately follow at the Three Rivers Cemetery, Three Rivers
In lieu of Flowers donate to the church or charity of your choice on behalf of Susie.
Services entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers
