Vito Mr. Agrusa, as I called him was a kind and caring man. He was strong like a bull. I watched him remove his entire driveway in a single afternoon by himself, using only his bare hands and a sledge hammer. Yet, he was always gentle with us kids in the neighborhood even when we were being little troublemakers. I remember eating crushed wine grapes with him in his garage and sometimes in our garage. He would laugh at my purple hands and mouth, then give me another grape to enjoy. The yellow jackets would swarm around the grape press while he calmly turned the spindle on top; they never stung him even once. I had and will always continue to have a great deal of respect for him. He was truly a steady rock, a good man, and a loving neighbor. Che riposi in pace. - Bret Bergeron
