Vittoria Maria Colella, age 87, of Orangeburg, New York, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from natural causes.
Vittoria was born on November 29, 1938, in Sant'Andrea Apostolo dello Ionio, Calabria, Italy, to Saverio and Caterina Addino. She spent her early years in her beloved hometown before beginning a life defined by devotion to family, deep faith, and tireless dedication. On June 19, 1971, she married the love of her life, Giuseppe Colella. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared more than five decades of love and partnership.
A devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, Vittoria was also a trusted confidant and steady source of comfort to her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was known for her wisdom, warmth, and unwavering support for all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.
For many years, Vittoria worked as a gifted seamstress, sharing her extraordinary talent with countless people and helping them feel confident and beautiful during life's most meaningful moments. Guided by a deep and steadfast faith, she lived a life rooted in honesty, compassion, humor, and kindness. Vittoria believed she was blessed and made it her purpose to share those blessings generously with others.
Vittoria is survived by her devoted husband, Giuseppe; her children, Nicola and Paola; her daughter-in-law, Anne Marie Colella and her beloved grandchildren, Giuseppe Colella, Gianna Colella, Julianna Povella, Joseph Povella, and Gianluca Colella. She is also survived by her siblings Maria Marzo and Andrea (Giuliana) Addino and many nieces and nephews. Vittoria is predeceased by her parents, her siblings Anna Addino Palaia and Bruno Addino, her brothers-in-law Gerardo Palaia and Cataldo Marzo and her nephew Anthony Addino. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
