Vivian -McClain Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown Funeral Home on Sep. 22, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

On Thursday, August 22nd, 2025, Vivian Lynn Hayes-McLain passed away peacefully in her sleep in the comfort of her beloved home. Vivian was a woman whose laughter and quick wit could lift spirits even in the most difficult of times. She cared deeply for her family and friends, and her nurturing spirit earned her the title of "Mom" by many who were not her own by birth but were embraced by her heart.

A lifelong passion for horses was woven into Vivian's heart and soul. A true horsewoman, she raised and cared for many of her own, and with a whistle that could cut through the wind, she would call them in-always eager to greet them with a sweet treat, often at the side of her husband Larry.

Vivian leaves behind her devoted husband and the love of her life, Larry McLain Sr., along with children Chandler Hayes, Tiffany Hubbard (Riley, Ruby, Brynn), and "daughter" Rachael Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Elsia Hayes, and her granddaughter Skylar.

A celebration of Vivian's life will be held on September 26, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at English Baptist Church (608 S. Main St., English), where family and friends will gather to honor her memory, share stories, and remember the love and laughter she brought into their lives.
