Vivian Joyce (Percy) Doust, 98 of Port Clinton, OH died Friday, October 10, 2025 at Riverview Health Care Campus under Hospice Care. She was born March 12, 1927 in San Francisco, CA to the late Howard and Elaine (Barner) Percy. She was a 1948 graduate of the University of Nevada. On August 21, 1948 she married Joseph James Doust, who preceded her in death October 16, 2000. Vivian was a School teacher in LaCarne and Port Clinton. She was Past President of Ohio Retired Teachers Association (ORTA) and Senior Center officer in both Oak Harbor and Port Clinton. She loved reading, crocheting gifts for the family, playing cards, cats, and traveling.
Survivors include her sons: Gerald "Jake" (Nancy) Doust of Genoa, OH and Jeffrey (Shawn) Doust of Oak Harbor, OH; daughter-in-law Carolyn (Jerry) Myers of Oak Harbor, OH; grandchildren: Jennifer (Ric), Steven (Karen), Chrissy (Brian), Donovan (Danielle), Zachery (Lindsey) and Elliot; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her sons David and Steven; grandson Dustin and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will begin at 11am on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel, 301 N. Locust St., Oak Harbor, OH 43449, with the family to receive friends beginning at 10am at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.crosserpriesman.com.
