Aunt Vivian:
I was so elated whenever I knew that you were coming to Murfreesboro to stay a couple of days or more. I knew that there would be constant fun & laughter. I recollect staying up until the wee hours of the morning watching scary movies on a small black & white television with alumium foil wrapped around a rabbit ear antennae to gain picture clarity. While watching the scary movie, we would be eating a foot long hot dog that you'd ordered from the Tastee Freeze. You would bite one end and I would the other and when it came to the last bite, you would always allow me to have it. It was also a joy spending summers with you while I was on my summer school break. You will truly be missed!
Love Always,
Christine & Vincent

Dear grandma,
Thanks for being the great foundation of our family. Because of you our family never really had a bunch of dysfunctions. No one ever had serious issues with the law, no one is strung out on drugs, & everyone takes responsibility and takes care of their kids and if they didn't someone always stepped up to help out. As for me, because of the way you raised me and the fact that I was the only boy in the family for a long time, I learned to respect women. I never was a womanizer. I never got into the drug dealing world even though we lived in a tempting area in S.E. and opportunity was there. Believe me it wasn't the police I was worried about. It was those switches you used to make me go get is what I was worried about and I would wanna face the family for doing something like that. It's funny when growing up how you don't realize how those things play a part in ones life, but reality is that those switches saved my life. Anyway grandma, love ya and enjoy paradise.

Moms, Grandma, Vivian ...
It's been my privilege and honor to not only know you as a person for nearly 30 years, but be your son-in-law for 25 of them. I especially cherish those many trips in the vans to North Carolina when we had a chance to talk about family and life's vicissitudes while everyone else slept! I'm certain our paths will cross once again on our journey through the Father's universe of universes.
Love you always, Robert.
