Vondina "Dean" Wiley, age 83 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Trinity Community of Beavercreek. She was born February 2, 1941 in Covington, Kentucky the daughter of Orville Woods and Sarah Francis Meade.

In her early years, she worked as a cosmetology instructor at Carousel Beauty College as well as a seamstress making many wedding dresses over the years. Later in life, she enjoyed making quilts and jewelry for her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jed and Mary Belle Meade; father, Orville Woods; mother, Sarah Francis Duvall; siblings, Irene Sandlin, George Sandlin, Sonia Sue Welch and Sharon Elliot; loving ex-husband, Ottis Wiley Jr.

Vondina is survived by her son, Brian (Amy) Wiley; granddaughters, Ashley and Emily Wiley; many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Turner Syndrome Foundation in Vondina's honor at Turner Syndrome Foundation

Visitation will be Monday, July 15, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a service to follow at 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home(3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). To share a memory of Vondina or leave a special message for her family, please visit the Guestbook below.
