W. Sloan Obituary
A native of Greer, South Carolina, son of the late William Pliney and Cora Campbell Sloan, he was a South Carolina Army National Guard Veteran, a retired employee of Fluor Daniel, and a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Alvin Baker of Greer; three grandchildren, Josh Baker (Nikki), Tim Baker (Yoona), and Luke Baker; and three great-grandchildren, Marc Baker, Kaylee Baker, and Yena Baker.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Marian Elizabeth Harvey Sloan, seven brothers, and six sisters.
Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mark Smith and Rev. David Walker. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held 2:15-3:15 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church.
The family is at the home of his daughter, Theresa Baker.
Memorials may be made to Mount Lebanon Baptist Church Building Fund, 572 Mount Lebanon Church Road, Greer, South Carolina 29651.
