Wade Logan Obituary
Mr. Wade Logan was born January 11, 1941, in Abbeville, Mississippi, the son of the late Pearlie (Thompson) Logan and Jessie Wade. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and pillar in the community passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026 peacefully in Flint, Michigan.
Wade graduated from Gordon High School in Oxford, Mississippi and once he moved to Flint, Michigan he continued his education at Mott Community College, earning a Certificate in Business. He worked for various organizations, from Genesee County, General Motors Corporation and eventually retiring from Allstate Insurance Company after twenty-six years of loyal service. Upon retirement, which was not apart of his DNA; his final place of employment which provided the most enjoyment was Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home for 15 years, which strengthened his connections to his community and developed life-long friendship throughout the state of Michigan.
Mr. Logan was a dedicated member of Dozier Memorial CME Church, where he served as a was member of Dozier Choir, Sunday School Teacher, Trustee Board Member, Usher Board, Steward of Ministerial Support and Superintendent of Sunday School. He was a faithful member until his departure. Wade always had an entrepreneurial spirit. He was an Independent Agent for Supreme Mammoth Life Insurance Company. Wade was an avid writer, wrote songs and a meticulous prayer warrior.
Mr. Wade Logan leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Wanda Nell Logan; children, Teresa Logan-Perdue, Tawana (Charles) Dixon, Cecelia (Johnnie) Webb and Edwin Wade Logan; grandchildren, Tysha Logan, Jadera and Jhane Perdue, Jonathan (Chelsea) Webb and Zaniya Perdue; great-grandson, Kasen Charles-Wade Logan; siblings, Joyce (Fred) Dudley, Sam (Marilyn) Logan and Robert Logan; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and precious church members and friends; aunts, Ruby Logan and Annie Logan; sisters-in-law, Bernice Jackson and Marilyn Logan; brothers-in-law, Fred Dudley and Willie Ray (Carrie) Russey; god-daughter, Tasha Jackson; fur babies, Prince, Duey and Kaleigh; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Jessie Kirksey, Lawrence E. Moon and the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home family.
Mr. Logan was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Wade and Pearlie Thompson-Logan; siblings, Judge Logan, Fannie Mae Shields, Doyce Logan, and Delores (Logan) Muldrew; mother and father-in-law, James and Queen Esther Russey; 2 brothers-in-law, James (Linda) Russey and William "Bill" Jackson

His charming smile put customers at ease while working as an agent at Allate Insurance. Working with Wade was always a pleasureable experience.
