Wade L. Parker

"Grandpa" had the ability to always make you smile, no matter what the circumstances. His love for ice cream and all things sweet just added to his appeal and you just couldn't help but love him so much. Hearing the ever precious term of endearment, "play pretty" to refer to his granddaughter Alexa was music to this momma's ears. I remember how concerned he became and adamantly requested that his precious, newborn baby girl get formula after many failed attempts at breastfeeding. He wanted his "play pretty" fed! You could always catch grandpa outside looking at the cars and passersby or watching the weather channel, which always demonstrated to me that life should not be rushed and that we should all enjoy and embrace simplicity, contentment, and love for our fellow man. You will be missed, grandpa.

Wade was one-of-a-kind. Anytime he and Carolyn came to visit her family in Moore County, Wade was always full of smiles and stories. We loved him dearly and will miss his visits with Carolyn. I'm sure Wade hasn't stopped smiling since he entered his heavenly home. Prayers for Carolyn, kids, and grandkids. May God's comfort and peace be yours in the coming days.

Carolyn, prayers to you and your family. I will treasure the few times I came and sat on the porch with Wade as I was on my way through the neighborhood. He loved talking about his days in trucking.

Dad was used greatly by God to be a blessing to others. He was a great family man. I will always have good memories of him.

Mr. Parker was an absolutely special man who will be sincerely missed. One of his most endearing traits was his sweet smile! Sending our deepest condolences, prayers and love to the entire Parker family.

We are sorry for your loss, He will be missed but we know that he is in Gods care now. Sending love and prayers .

Grandpa was always a joy to be around! Even when we were kids, he´d sneak over to the kids dinner table and help us finish off the veggies we didn´t want. You will be missed! Love you Grandpa!

Dad was the most generous man I have ever known. He would give anyone the shirt off of his back if they needed it. He was a great role model for our family and will be missed by all of us.

I enjoyed working with and knowing Wade at Kenan. He always had nice things to say about my dad (James Clifton). My family is sending prayers to all of Wade's family.
